Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing serves as a pivotal member of the leadership team at TechnologyAdvice and owns the success of all marketing efforts of the company, including our site, TechnologyAdvice.com. Our ideal candidate will be a lead-by-example innovator who is passionate about continual growth and improvement. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the marketing team, including marketing operations, content strategy, demand generation and marketing communications arms of department.
  • Set individual KPI’s tied to overall department KPI’s and hold team accountable to those numbers
  • Manage lead channels for TechnologyAdvice’s internal sales team, focused on selling lead generation programs. Ensure lead channels are driving revenue growth, not just MQL numbers.
  • Must be extremely skilled with SEO and have a thorough understanding of search engines and inbound traffic. This is the main source of traffic to TechnologyAdvice.com
  • Experiment and develop new lead channels and campaigns to bring on net-new business for TechnologyAdvice.
  • Manage partnerships with conferences around the country
  • Host TechnologyAdvice’s podcast “B2B Nation” - help develop this into a business of its own with ad revenue
  • Manage the packaging of and productization of TechnologyAdvice’s lead generation services
  • Manage the marketing arm of TechnologyAdvice’s inbound business model, ensuring traffic growth to technologyadvice.com, conversion growth, and the production of more leads each month
  • Manage paid media channels, including linkedin and Google Adwords
  • Manage the nurturing of leads in TechnologyAdvice’s internal database
  • Ensure growth of email marketing database in order to drive net-new names and leads for sales team
  • Help lead the exploration of new products for the business, and the monetization of new services surrounding TA’s proprietary assets

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ Years in marketing and/or demand generation
  • 3+ Years managing a marketing team
  • A thorough understanding of the lead generation marketplace
  • Experience with Marketing Automation
  • An advanced understanding of SEO and inbound marketing
  • Experience specifically with B2B marketing highly desireable
  • Experience working cross-functionally with developers and sales reps
